This small size car is manufactured by Italian Fiat automaker has:

Its body style is:
5-door hatchback

3-door panel van
It was marketed in May 2005, but Punto Evo put back it in 2010. Interestingly the Fiat introduced Punto model 2012 in September 2011. This new version will put aside the Grande Punto and Punto Evo both. It will be good news for you that the new Punto 2012 introduced a unique style and a super class new engine.
Overview:
Fiat super mini is especially for the new generation, named as Punto, and has a codename also as Project 199. The Grande Punto was introduces at Frankfurt Motor Show in 2005 and came in the dealer’s showroom in the next year. The car was designed by Giugiaro.
Markets Other Than Europe:
In the middle of 2006 Grande Punto was introduced by Fiat in Australia, but sold in market under the name of Punto only. Since 1989 it was the first Fiat marketed in Australia. After its launching, the car was said to be most economical for buyers.
The car was brought for sale in Mexico in November 2006.
The Grande Punto Fiat which was produced in Italy has been set-up before in Republic of Dominican & Chile with a difference of petrol and diesel. In August 2007, the Grande Punto was made in Brazilian also and named only Punto has been sold in South America.
In Brazil the Grande Punto was designed with a codename of Project 310, and its chassis was the version of Fiat Palio, which was a lower cost compress. Safety majors were not taken in its design; however journey was comfortable in it. People attracted to this new edition, because the car was consisting five-doors. This was the only unique car available in Brazil.
In 2006 the sale of Grande Punto was started in South Africa and put aside the old version of the new generation. It came in market with a different kind of diesel & petrol engines started at around R120, 000.
In early 2007 a new sedan edition of Grande Punto named as Fiat Linea introduces in market. It pushed aside the old model of Fiat Marea. This was an extensive edition of the chassis of Grande Punto having length of 4,600 mm. This was a family car, extremely suitable for family holders.
In January 2008 in Delhi Auto Expo was held and Grande Punto and the Linea sedan, both were introduced. An elegant edition was placed in the market in January 2009, which runs on diesel and petrol as well.
Fiat Grande Punto In India:
In June 2009 Grande Punto is introduced in India. Both the cars are made up by the Fiat-Tata Motors jointly. In Maharashtra Fiat India Automobiles Ltd has established a new plant for the production.
Fiat Grande Punto is now in the showroom of India with 10 editions out of which its 5 versions are available with 2 options of petrol engine.
Safety:
After a crash test for passenger safety the Euro NCAP has given award to Grande Punto with five stars. Also three certificates have been given for the safety of the walker of the road.
The powerful engines of the Grande Punto have electronic durability and anti-slip rules mounted as standard.
Fiat Punto 2012:
The latest Punto 2012 introduces not one but two engines: The 0.9L TwinAir petrol turbo with two cylinders and 85 PS and the new 1.3L MultiJet II diesel with powerful start and 85 PS with discharge minimize to 90 g/km of CO2. The new engines don’t put aside the former engines. The inside of the car is also modified with new fabrics and has a latest system which is Blue&Me.
